The difference between Air Purifier and Humidifier

air purifier and salt lamp humidifier

According to a recent survey*, 84% of parents are more worried about their children’s health than ever before. More than half said they worried about the effects of air quality in their home, and the effects of indoor air pollution on their babies.  With most people spending 90% of their time indoors, particularly in Winter, there is good cause. But there’s something that can help.

As part of ClevaMama’s commitment to help parents provide a healthier indoor environment for their children, we have recently added the ClevaPure™ Air Purifier to our product range, joining our award-winning ClevaPure™ Salt Lamp & Humidifier. So, what is the difference between air purifier and humidifier and why do you need both? We’ve got the answers!

Air Purifier v Air Humidifier

Both of our ClevaPure products help to promote a healthier indoor environment but in very different ways. An air purifier filters the air, removing pollutants and asthma/allergy triggers.  A humidifier adds moisture to the air, helping to ease congestion, soothe sore throats and dry itchy skin. So, if your little one has a cough, sore throat or dry skin (eczema), the ClevaPure™ Salt Lamp can help. If you are concerned about your child having asthma or other allergies at a later date, using an air purifier can be extremely beneficial.

Meet the ClevaPure Air Purifier

Our ClevaPure™ Air Purifier is a most effective tool in ensuring healthier indoor air quality for your baby’s nursery. Equipped with a medical-grade HEPA H13 filter, it can remove 99.95% of airborne particles, allergens, and odours. These include asthma and allergy triggers such as dust, pollen, pet dander, mould, bacteria, viruses, VOC’s (volatile organic compounds), dust mites, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odours.

The ClevaPure Air Purifier’s 3-stage air quality indicator automatically ‘reads’ the air in the room and the display will show if the air quality is good, moderate, or poor. As the air quality improves, you will see the eyes change, giving you peace of mind that your baby is breathing clean air.

Not only that, the ClevaPure™ Air Purifier is one of the few air purifiers on the market which is ozone-free. This is important because, when breathed in, ozone can potentially cause damage to lungs, eyes, skin, and other exposed areas.  This is why we use ozone-free filters, essential for your baby’s health.

The ClevaPure™ Air Purifier comes with a 3-stage medical-grade filter which will last for 6 months (replacement filters available). It’s whisper-quiet for the nursery and uses less power than your average light bulb so it’s cost-effective too.

ClevaPure™ Salt Lamp & Humidifier

When your little one is unwell with a cold, cough, sore throat, or itchy skin, adding some moisture to the air can be very soothing. Modern homes with central heating and double glazing can result in a dry environment. This in turn can make cough and cold symptoms worse. The ClevaPure™ Salt Lamp and Humidifier provides a natural treatment for coughs and colds without having to resort to the medicine bottle.

But that’s not all. The ClevaPure™ Salt Lamp contains Himalayan Salt Crystals which cast a melatonin-friendly glow, helping your little one to drift off peacefully. You can also add a few drops of essential oils to the reservoir to diffuse some beautiful scents into the room. These can be used to calm, soothe, refresh, or invigorate, depending on your choice of oil. (Always read instructions carefully and choose oils from a reputable supplier)

We all worry about our children’s health, especially now, more than ever. Knowing that the air in your home is clean and allergen free can provide peace of mind and reduce potential medical bills further down the line. So, with our ClevaPure™ range, your little one can breathe easy…and so can you.
